Mike Murdock

About 10 years ago, shortly before retiring from my day job, I started dabbling in graphite and colored pencil drawing. After retirement I decided to keep at it and maybe even try to learn something. To that end I attended weekly classes for a few years until I got the nerve to strike out on my own.

I work mostly in watercolor. My pictures usually have outdoor settings with some sort of story to tell. They often occur in the Southwestern U.S. I guess I just like arid, thirsty, and blistering hot environments.
