10 Year Anniversary Celebration and Exhibition
Prospectus:
ABOUT: The Lilburn Arts Alliance is celebrating its 10-year Anniversary. To honor this important milestone, the Lilburn Arts Alliance will be holding an exhibition and a silent auction. Artists can participate in one or both activities.
LOCATION:
1910 Public House - Apothecary Event Space
98 Main St NW, Lilburn, GA 30047
DATE: September 23, 2023. 11 am to 4 pm.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Application, waiver form and payment should be received by September 18, 2023 (download forms below).
ARTIST ELIGIBILITY: Members and Non-Members
EXHIBITION - JURIED ENTRY: Entrants may submit up to three pieces. For the exhibition, 2-dimensional artwork must be wired for hanging with suitable backing. Unframed artwork will only be accepted on Gallery wrap canvas that has an edge depth of 1&1/2 inches. All artwork must be identified by a card (furnished) stating Title, Artist Name, Size, Medium and Price. Artist also must have this information attached to the back of each entry. No artwork depicting nudes will be accepted. Proceeds for sales of artwork will be divided with 80% of the sales price going to the Artist and 20% going to the Lilburn Arts Alliance.
SILENT AUCTION - NON-JURIED ENTRY: Entrants may submit up to five pieces for the silent auction. 2-dimensional artwork must be no larger than 11" x 14" and can be in different media (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc.). 2-dimensional artwork for the silent auction can be framed or unframed. 3-dimensional artwork will also be accepted. All artwork must be identified by a card (furnished) stating Title, Artist Name, Size, Medium. Artists can set a minimum bid amount for each piece on the day of the exhibit. After the completion of the bidding, on the day of the anniversary celebration, the artwork will go to the highest bidder. We are hoping to get 50 pieces of art to auction for this event. Proceeds from the bid will be divided evenly between the Lilburn Arts Alliance (50% of the total bid) and the Artist (50% of the total bid). No artwork depicting nudes will be accepted.
DELIVERY AND DISPLAY: Work must be delivered between 9 am and 9:30 am Saturday morning, September 23, 2023 to the1910 Public House - Apothecary Event Space at 98 Main St NW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
REMOVAL OF WORK: Work must be removed after the celebration/exhibition on Saturday, September 23, 2023 between 4 pm and 4:30 pm. Without exceptions, artists are to be responsible for making delivery and pickup arrangements for their own work. No early removals are permitted.
INSURANCE: Insurance is the sole responsibility of the artist. Though great care will be taken when handling your work, the Lilburn Arts Alliance is not responsible for possible loss or damage to works. Artists will be asked to sign an LAA Liability Waiver.
SALES:
RIGHTS: Lilburn Arts Alliance reserves the right to photograph and retain images of the exhibit. These materials will be used solely for educational, promotional and documentation purposes in print or on the internet. By entering, you agree to all conditions herein.
